Taking the Ouch out of your own personal Olympics
by Madelyn Miller, the TravelLady
Go for the gold this summer! You don't have to be in
the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games to call yourself an athlete. Truth
is, most of us will never make it to the big show this August, but that
doesn't mean we should stop trying to master our craft. Whether it's running
drills on the tennis court, training for the next marathon, or swimming
endless laps in the pool, LUSH knows that sore muscles come with the
territory and need to be nursed just like any other world-class competitor.
This summer, in between working out and watching the Olympics, make sure to
treat aching muscles and other athletic ailments to a little LUSH relief:
Wiccy Magic Muscles Massage Bar ($8.95)
With the power of cinnamon leaf oil to heat things up and aduki beans to
loosen knots, this bar is great for almost all aching body parts: stiff
necks, backs, shoulders, knees, hips, ankles and feet. Rub Wiccy on the bit
that gives you bother and let the peppermint oil make your skin tingle with
relief and magically feel much better as it sinks in.
Fair Trade Foot Lotion ($19.95)
Pink, minty and full of Fair Trade cocoa butter, this lotion makes your feet
feel as light as air. It's loaded with spearmint and peppermint essential
oils, which are circulation boosters, have antifungal and antibacterial
properties and are excellent at bringing relief to aching feet, while arnica
helps to reduce swelling.
